Job Description: Entry Level Quantitative Strategist
This position involves quantitative research, software development, production analyses and improvement of quantitative trading strategies. The quantitative research work includes analysis with respect to financial and mathematical theory, creation of research plans, cleaning and processing of data, performing modeling, evaluation and simulations, and writing research reports and documentation.
Qualifications

Ph.D./MS in Math, Statistics, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematical Finance or similar field |
| • |
Extensive knowledge of computer science: algorithms, data structures and techniques. Although our production system is written in C++, no particular language is required, but rather a good grasp of the fundamentals |

Experience in financial services, in particular statistical arbitrage or quantitative trading is a plus but not required |
| • |
Ph.D. and post-Ph.D. experience highly valued |
| • |
Motivation and interest to apply mathematical and scientific techniques to the trading and investment process |

This position involves day-to-day trading based on set risk limit using internally developed algorithmic trading strategies. In this role, the successful candidate will develop alpha generation ideas, execution strategies and dynamic risk management algorithms.
Qualifications

A strong track record in the quantitative and systematic space within the U.S. or Global Markets |

At least 3 years of experience with high frequency trading models is essential |

Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Matlab, and scripting languages such as Perl and Python, strong ability to code in C++ is preferred |

Backward testing theories and incorporating them into applicable strategies |

Qualifications

Trading Operations Specialist
Job Description: Trading Operations Specialist
This position provides the opportunity to manage day-to-day operations for a high-frequency financial trading system. This includes providing technical/operational support for daily trading operations: "First Point of Contact". Performing systems development and maintenance to support new trading initiatives and to improve existing processes. Performing complex systems analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting. Managing large amounts of financial data: organizing of data; ensuring integrity of data; monitoring data collection; developing tools in conjunction with quantitative research team to make best use of data. Managing hardware, storage, and systems software (e.g. OS, database, TIB/RV).
Qualifications

BS, MS, or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science or other technical field |

Previous experience in software engineering and/or operational support |

Previous experience in working with and managing massive data sets is highly desirable |

Previous experience in system administration and hardware management |

High level of expertise in systems programming on UNIX, Linux, Windows, and database systems (Oracle, Sybase - SQL) |

High level of expertise in a variety of scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Awk, Bash) |

Familiarity with C/C++ and Java is a plus |

Keen interest and aptitude for both mathematics and finance is required |
